Hard Turning Machines
Hard turning is the act of turning a work piece as an alternative to grinding. Part hardness will be 58-62 Rc and can be done with or without coolant. This can be performed on OD's and ID's. The machine tool, workholding and tooling all have to be extremely rigid to succeed at hard turning. |
